Hallo,

ich wollte mir mal eine kleine Auswahl Saucen von Blues Hog, Sweet Baby Rays und Dinosaur zusammenstellen. Bekanntlich haben die ja nicht nur eine Sauce im Programm. Was passt wofür, was sind eure Favoriten?

SBR nehme ich in der Hauptsache als Dip - sind mir als Glace zu schwer.
Mir schmecken alle Sorten. Meine Favoriten sind Original- und Honey/Chipotle.

Dinosaur habe ich noch nicht probiert, aber der Favorit vom Chef (Per) ist die Roasted Garlic Honey.

Blues Hog nutze ich eigentlich nur als Glace, weil schön Glossy.
Ich nutze die Original- und die Tennessee Red.
Für Schwein und Rind 1:1
Für Ribs 2 Teile Original & 1 Teil Tennessee Red
Jeweils plus das Safterl aus der Folie, wenn vorhanden- und brauchbar.

Mein Favorit ist Sweet Baby Rays. Die kann man alle bedenkenlos kaufen.

I like the Sweet Baby Ray's too. (It also happens to be the least expensive). I usually stock up in the spring when the promotional prices are best. Usually around .75-1.25USD My favorite is the Honey Chipotle. Avoid the vidalia onion type. It isn't very good and neither is the hickory. The original and the honey are the best.

Like I said those prices are usually in the spring when everyone is dusting off the grills from the winter. SBR sauce usually puts out coupons in the newspapers on Sundays.

As for the weather... it's fine now, but it was the worst storm I've seen around here. Lots of destruction. Especially along the coast of NJ.

I live in Northern NJ. Very close to NYC. Many in my area have been without electrical power (I got lucky) and some have suffered flooding. Lower Manhattan is still without power and the subways are a mess lots of damage from the water.

Most of the stores and supermarkets are out of a lot of things and gasoline is scarce. People are waiting hours on lines to get it (for their cars and for their generators). This was the scene today about 1/2 a mile from my home:

All in all, I consider ourselves lucky. Not nearly as many lives lost as there were in other tragedies. The help is coming around now too. I saw tree service workers from Iowa today! (That's quite a distance from here). Lots of electrical crews coming to help from the south and the west too.

The southerners don't seem so ignorant when they're coming to the rescue! That was a joke... a bad joke at that

Now it's just time for cleaning and rebuilding. I hope that everybody here can just stay civil and keep the peace. So far, so good!
